Dust off your presenting skills as Enactus UCalgary will be hosting the first and likely only Haskayne in-person case competition of the year! If you're looking to gain relevant social entrepreneurship experience, Enactus is the club for you! Enactus UCalgary is the University of Calgary chapter of Enactus, a global non-profit composed of 72,000 students across the world who are using the power of entrepreneurial action to enact positive change.
Teams of 4 will present a case on a local Calgary social enterprise to a panel of judges in sustainability and social entrepreneurship. New to case competitions? Don't worry, NO experience is required and we will host a training session taught by an Accenture representative. Students from any faculty are welcome to apply (undergraduate or graduate level). You can sign up with 3 other individuals, or if you sign up alone we will match you with a team.
Enactus' Social Entrepreneurship Challenge will provide students with the opportunity to explore economic, social and environmental challenges and develop unique solutions that will positively impact their community. Students will be tasked with identifying a key societal issue, analyzing potential solutions, and creating and presenting a recommendation to a panel of expert judges.
The aim of this event is to encourage students to develop innovative solutions in a collaborative environment and highlight the importance of social entrepreneurship in a rapidly-evolving business, social and environmental landscape. This event also aims to encourage students of different majors and faculties to work together and combine their expertise to deliver a multi-disciplinary analysis and solution.
